The DARC published the german results of the September 144 MHz contest. We finished in 7th place out of 82 multi-op participants, which is quite satisfying. The score of DR9A is really impressive, the best score since 2000 at least.
The next (and for us: last) contest of this year is lying ahead: IARU region I UHF/SHF/microwave-contest. We will take part from the usual location in JO30EM featuring a new 2 m diameter dish for 23cm (200w power) and 13cm (40w power), and our usual 8×11el+700w for 70cm and 70cm dish+10w for 3cm. We hope for many nice QSOs to complete our VHF contest 2006 season, as we are normally omitting the November Marconi contest.
But this time, the October contest will not be our last visit to the JO30EM-site: At the last weekend of October parts of the NRCOCOS-Team will set up some HF antennas there and take part in the CQWW-SSB-DX contest as DR5A in die Multi/Single category, enjoying a sidekick from the VHF&up work :-).
Slowly catching up with this years contests, i now added some more fotos of May contest 2006 to our gallery. Enjoy!
(Finally) I added some of my pictures of our snowy March contest to our gallery. Enjoy!
And yes, soon i will upload pictures of May, June, July and even September :-).

The guys at OM3KHE again recorded our QSO in the September IARU VHF contest, and wow, we were really loud! :-)
Its nice to hear that from a point of view 904km away. For comparison: That is how they sounded at JO30EM.
Thank you for your recording! We hope too see you again in the October UHF contest.
We published the details of our IARU September VHF contest participation.

If you worked DR5A for a QRB of less than 800km and you are interested in knowing how your signal sounded in JO30EM, just drop me a line at dl1ely@dr5a.de and i will send you the sound snippet of our QSO.
Ordering a second 2m antenna coupler for four yagis seemed to be an easy task…But the first supplier promised to deliver, but finally could not deliver on time, other suppliers had none on stock. Finally we found a source for a second one, and Chris, DK2CRN, fetched it this evening. So now we are able to set up two 4×9el vertically stacked yagis in the upcoming September contest.
…the movement of dr5a.de to a new, more powerful server is finished and went without any severe problems :-). If you notice anything that does not work as expected, please drop me a line.
Very soon, this page will (again) move to another server, hopefully now for a longer time. So please bear with us if the page is not reachable during some of the next days. While the move itself will not take too long (i hope), it takes some time (1-2 days) until all DNS-servers notice that dr5a.de is now pointing to another, new IP.
